By having a guitar you have many easy nice sounding chords to use. Let's play a few open guitar chords on the key of A.
Six string tab
Guitar tab notation may be a way of showing the right way to play melodies and chords within the guitar. It usually features six lines representing the six strings relating to the guitar and numbers in which indicate the frets to help you play.
In this guitar golfing lessons we will use a style of guitar tablature that uses numbers rather then a tablature staff. I've noted that ordinary guitar hook staff notation sometimes would be displayed uncorrectly on write-up sites.
How to go through this notation
I use two numbers to show the best way to play the notes. The main number indicate the fret and therefore the second the string to make sure you play. An example:

This tab notation claims to play the third fret in the second string. It is definitely the note D on a person's guitar. For clarification: The main string is the string considering the highest pitch.
A turnaround during the key of A
